Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a qualified diver?
Speak to the wonderful team at Best Spot about the diving and the requirments to do so.

What if the weather is bad and we cannot dive?
Dives are based on availability. Please check with the Best Spot team in advance. In the rare case that you cannot dive due to the weather, the team will dive on another date and drop your bottle.

How long will the bottle be on the sea floor?
The bottle will be on the sea floor for a maximum of 2 years. You can pick it up anytime by contacting Best Spot for your return dive. After 2 years we will collect the bottle and it will be sold. Proceeds will be donated to The Ocean Azores Foundation.

What impact does this have on the environment?
None. Everything that goes down, comes back up. We do not allow anything to stay on the sea bed. When the divers are down they also make sure to pick up any debris in the area left or dropped by other people.
